At Eurohoops Academy Leonteios, we’re shaping the basketball stars of tomorrow. Since its founding in 2019,through the collaboration between Eurohoops Academy and the historic Leonteios School of Athens, our academy has made a strong impact on Greece’s youth basketball scene.

With five league promotions, six medals, and countless moments of growth, our teams have excelled across six age categories. From championships in Boys’, Juniors’, and Men’s Leagues to podium finishes and appearances in Final-4 and Final-6 tournaments, our athletes have also earned individual distinctions, including selections for the Greek Basketball Federation’s Development Program and national team call-ups for both Greece and Albania.

Our upcoming participation in Athens’ top U16 league is just the tip of the iceberg. It reflects the steady rise of our program, driven by a clear philosophy and a methodical, long-term development plan. From the introductory levels, where kids learn to love basketball, to our competitive squads developing tomorrow’s stars, growth at Eurohoops Academy is continuous and multidimensional.

Player-First Training Philosophy
Our coaching model focuses on the individual progress of every athlete; from their first steps on the court all the way to competitive play. With a foundation in pedagogy, technical training, and healthy recreation, our mission is for every child to discover a love for basketball. Through the values of respect, teamwork, and continuous effort, we help develop well-rounded athletes, great teammates, and, above all, better people.

Elite Coaching Staff
Guided by the modern basketball philosophy of Theodoros Papaloukas, a legend of European basketball, our coaching team is composed of experienced professionals specializing in youth development. With Technical Director Konstantinos Meletis and Head of Coaching Andreas Matthaiou leading the way, our strategic approach has already shown results from the very first year.

Tailored Individual Development
Every athlete at Eurohoops Academy follows a personalized training plan, adjusted for both age and individual needs. Each child is treated as a unique case, with close monitoring, targeted coaching, and strong role models. Our competitive successes in Athens and beyond confirm the strength of our developmental system. Meanwhile, our youth programs, built around the Mini Basketball philosophy, help dozens of children not only learn the sport—but grow through it. And that’s our greatest achievement.

Innovative, Enriched Training Program
We go beyond traditional practice sessions. Our program also includes cutting-edge Skills Labs and Strength & Conditioning Labs. Through small-group, specialized sessions, players improve their technical skills and physical performance. Each program is tailored to their age and development level, enhancing the core training schedule with targeted development of athleticism and skill.

Partnership with Leonteios School of Athens
Our base is the indoor sports arena of Leonteios School—an air-conditioned, 380-seat facility that provides ideal conditions for training and a unique game-day atmosphere. Athletes also benefit from modern locker rooms and daily access to a second indoor court and three outdoor basketball courts. The facility is fully equipped, including a state-of-the-art Shooting Machine.
