Eurohoops Academy, the model basketball academy with European basketball legend Thodoris Papaloukas as its ambassador, focuses on the holistic development of young athletes, based on expertise and a pedagogical approach. The training program focuses on the developmental path of each individual athlete — from their first steps in the sport to the competitive level. Through the values of respect, cooperation and continuous effort, it shapes complete personalities, valuable teammates and, ultimately, better people.

In recent years, Eurohoops Academy has established itself as one of the most rising forces of developmental basketball in Greece, recording significant competitive successes and highlighting dozens of athletes through the ranks of the development program of the Hellenic Basketball Federation. The fifth place in her first season in A1 league for children, the participation in the Final-6 of A1 Youth, as well as Spyros Eleftheriou’s promotion to the TOP-5 of the EOK’s Associations Tournament and his participation in the Pampaidon National Team are just some of the most important competitive moments of the season.

Our Philosophy

Guided by the philosophy of Thodoris Papaloukas and the principles of modern developmental basketball, Eurohoops Academy offers an integrated development environment, where technical training is combined with the learning of sports culture. Its primary goal is the development of integrated personalities, with the ultimate goal of developing young athletes into future protagonists of the parquet floor. The focus is always on the athlete as a separate development unit, through continuous guidance, evaluation and support of his progress at every stage.

Elite coaching staff

The Eurohoops Academy coaching team is made up of experienced professionals with expertise in developmental basketball and a passion for teaching the fundamentals of the sport. The strategic planning of the new era, led by the Technical Director, Konstantinos Meletis, and the Technical Manager, Andreas Mattheos, has provided tangible results.

Complete training framework

The Eurohoops Academy training program is based on a coherent and evolving training framework, allowing athletes to develop gradually and consistently.

Structured individual development plan

Each athlete is treated as a unique development unit, with continuous monitoring of their progress, tailored coaching and positive role models. The progress of the competitive teams in championships and tournaments of Athens, but also of the rest of Greece, confirm the dynamics of the competitive upgrade. At the same time, the infrastructure departments, applying the principles of Mini Basketball, have helped dozens of children to love the sport and grow through it — and this is the most important trophy for Eurohoops Academy.

Enriched innovative training program

The training program is not limited to core training hours, but includes additional innovative training programs – Skills Development Labs and Strength & Conditioning Labs. In separate groups, specialized training sessions to improve individual technique and strengthening and athletic development programs are implemented, which are designed based on the age and individual needs of each athlete and function in addition to the basic training plan. The aim is to systematically strengthen the skills and physical condition of the children.

Modern facilities

The Eurohoops Academy is based in the premises of the Athens Leonteios School of Athens, which includes a beautiful indoor gymnasium, with a capacity of 380 seats, with air conditioning and modern changing rooms, another indoor multi-purpose court and three open courts.

State-of-the-art equipment

Strategically integrated into the training process, technology is a valuable “teammate” in children’s development. Eurohoops Academy has state-of-the-art Shooting Machines by Dr. Dish and Hiveact’s reaction training system.
